Food Service Worker

We are looking for a reliable and professional Food Service Associate to join our hospitality team within a premier medical and surgical facility in Westchester. This role is vital to the patient experience, ensuring that nutritional needs are met with high-quality service and a friendly smile. The ideal candidate has a background in hospitality and understands the importance of patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Interaction: Take accurate food orders directly from patients, ensuring dietary preferences and restrictions are respected.
Meal Delivery: Promptly deliver breakfast, lunch, and dinner trays to patient rooms with a high level of customer service.
Sanitation & Logistics: Transport food carts and used dinnerware from patient units back to the dish room for cleaning.
Inventory Support: Restock unit pantries and prep areas to ensure the facility is fully prepared for the following day’s service.
Compliance: Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following all food safety and hospital protocols.
 

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: Previous food handling or food service experience is required.
Hospitality Mindset: Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and medical staff.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stay on your feet for an 8-hour shift and move carts throughout the facility.
Uniform Compliance: Must have the required attire:
Solid White or Black Polo shirt
Professional Black pants
All-black, non-slip shoes or sneakers
